What to Check Before You Call

To help us get you back on the road as quickly as possible, having the following information ready when you call is incredibly helpful. It ensures we bring the exact correct tyre for your vehicle.

1. Your Location

Where are you exactly? If you are on a motorway (M25 South), look for the Driver Location Signs (small blue rectangular signs with distance markers). If you are on a rural road in Surrey, using a GPS app or providing a nearby landmark helps us find you faster.

This is the most critical piece of information. We cannot guess your tyre size based on the car model alone, as manufacturers use different wheel sizes for the same vehicle. Please look at the sidewall of your damaged tyre. You are looking for a sequence of numbers, for example:
205 / 55 R16 91V

  • Width: (e.g., 205)
  • Profile: (e.g., 55)
  • Rim Size: (e.g., 16)

Do you have alloy wheels? If so, please check if you have your Locking Wheel Nut Key. This is usually found in the glove box, the boot under the carpet, or in the side pockets.

  • If you cannot find it, don’t worry—just let us know on the phone so we can dispatch a van equipped with specialist locking nut removal tools.

Roadside Safety Advice

Your safety is our priority while you wait for our technician to arrive.

  1. Stop Safely: If possible, do not stop in a live lane. Pull over to a hard shoulder, lay-by, or safe parking area.
  2. Turn on Hazards: Activate your hazard warning lights immediately to alert other drivers.
  3. Exit the Vehicle: If you are on a motorway or busy dual carriageway, exit the vehicle from the passenger side (away from traffic) and stand behind the crash barrier.
  4. Do Not Attempt Repairs: Do not attempt to change the wheel yourself on the traffic-side of the vehicle. It is extremely dangerous. Wait for our high-visibility van to create a safe working zone.
